Serbia: Svetislav Pesic Cancels Morning Practice in Riga
EuroBasket 2025 kicks off tomorrow at 12:30 PM with the matchup between Great Britain and Lithuania, but Svetislav Pesic surprised everyone by canceling this morning’s scheduled practice session. The practice was set to begin at 9:20 AM (local time in Riga, which is one hour ahead) and was supposed to last 60 minutes on the auxiliary court located just 100 meters from the main arena. According to Serbian media observers, it’s clear that the team needed a break.
Serbia arrived in Riga on Monday around noon and held its first training session last night around 9:00 PM. All players are reportedly fit and available to coach Pesic, with expectations of a trouble-free start to the tournament in terms of injuries or health issues.
The team will hold an evening practice on the main court, scheduled for around 7:00 PM, followed by an official press conference featuring coach Pesic and team captain Bogdan Bogdanovic.
