Virtus Bologna is reportedly considering Rasheed Bello from Antwerp
Transfer talk is back at Virtus Bologna, with Walter Fuochi writing in La Repubblica (Bologna edition) about a new player being monitored.
“A market that offers little at great cost. With all the doors now closed for an Italian point guard—partly due to four domestic players with expiring contracts (plus one who has an NBA window opening)—the remaining options are American players available from Northern European leagues. And now, more than the Patty Mills suggestion, to replace Taylor and wait for Pajola, the focus shifts northward: after Marcus Carr of Würzburg, Virtus are also evaluating 22-year-old Rasheed Bello, currently with Antwerp.”
Bello, in his first professional season after coming out of Fort Wayne, is averaging 15.5 points per game and 5 assists in five FIBA Europe Cup appearances. He is also posting 15.7 points and 5.5 assists in 23.6 minutes per game in the BNXT League, shooting 37.6% from three-point range.
