Virtus Bologna, Smailagic will miss next two weeks
Virtus Bologna will once again be without Aliou Diarra and Luca Vildoza, as well as Alen Smailagić (out for at least two weeks), for tomorrow’s matchup against Dubai, scheduled to take place at the Coca-Cola Arena.
Speaking ahead of the trip to Dubai, head coach Duško Ivanović said:
“Tomorrow will be a difficult game against a team like Dubai that plays very well, especially here at home. This game will be challenging for us because after such a long journey we will need to be ready to face a matchup of this level. Some players in particular will have greater responsibilities, as they will be asked to play in different positions.”
Vice-captain Daniel Hackett also commented on the game:
“Tomorrow we face an important game against an opponent that already in the first leg—and in general throughout this EuroLeague season—has proven to be a very strong and well-equipped team. Dubai is very physical, capable of playing well in the half court and also running the floor. We’ll need to be ready tomorrow. We’re still dealing with an emergency situation, but we’ll do everything possible to compete and to win.”
