Alpha Diallo’s future: if he leaves Monaco, Hapoel Tel Aviv is ready
Hapoel Tel Aviv is looking ahead and has set its sights on one of the most intriguing profiles in the EuroLeague: Alpha Diallo of AS Monaco. According to Israel Hayom, the Israeli club is seriously considering the possibility of adding the American forward to its roster for next season, while preparing to begin its EuroLeague playoff run next week. The club’s management has already been working in recent weeks to plan for the future and has identified Diallo as an ideal addition to raise the team’s level.
Diallo, 28 years old and 2.01 meters tall, is under contract with Monaco for next season, but uncertainty surrounding the club’s future and financial situation could lead him to leave the Principality this summer, along with other key players. Team captain since his arrival in 2021, the American is averaging 11.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague. Although he has previously expressed a desire to pursue an NBA opportunity, several sources indicate that if he remains in Europe, Hapoel Tel Aviv would be among the main contenders to secure his services.
