Peppe Poeta reportedly wants Jason Burnell at Olimpia Milano
Is Jason Burnell a target for Olimpia Milano? According to La Prealpina, head coach Peppe Poeta would be interested in bringing the forward to Milan as “his trusted "lieutenant" and a key connector on the court.”
Born in 1997, the US forward has spent his entire professional career in Italy after leaving Jacksonville Dolphins men's basketball. He has previously played for Pallacanestro Cantù, Dinamo Sassari, and New Basket Brindisi before joining Germani Brescia in 2023.
Now in his third season with Brescia, Burnell is averaging 12.7 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 27 minutes. He is shooting 47.8% from the field and 34.1% from three-point range.
Last summer, the DeLand, Florida native was close to making the jump to the EuroLeague after strong interest from Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C.. However, Brescia ultimately held on to its player, who continues to put up impressive numbers.
