Olimpia Milano Announces the Signing of Leonardo Totè – “A Dream Come True”

Leonardo Totè is now officially a new player for Olimpia Milano. The announcement had been expected for weeks, but it was delayed due to his recovery from injury and the need to pass medical tests before signing. Now, Olimpia has confirmed the signing of a multi-year contract with the player — a 2.11m (6’11”) center, born on July 8, 1997, in Negrar, near Verona. He arrives from Napoli after the best season of his career: in the 2024/25 season with Napoli Basket, he averaged 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, shooting 68.6% on two-pointers.

Now, he makes the move to Milano, with the club looking to significantly deepen its frontcourt rotation. Totè will effectively serve as the fifth big man, joining a group that already includes Josh Nebo, Brandon Booker, Bryant Dunston, and Khadim Diop.

“A Dream Come True”
Totè’s first words as an Olimpia Milano player: “I’m happy, proud, and honored to be joining such a prestigious and accomplished club like Olimpia Milano, with its great tradition and big ambitions. For me, it’s truly a dream come true. I can’t wait to start working with my new teammates, the coaching staff, and finally play in front of the Olimpia fans.”

Career Overview
Totè came up through the youth system of Scaligera Verona, before moving in 2013 to Reyer Venezia to play at the junior level. In 2016, he was loaned to Brescia, followed by two years in Verona and one in Jesi, all in Serie A2 (Italy’s second division). In 2019, he made his Serie A debut with Vuelle Pesaro, averaging 9.5 points and 6.0 rebounds.
In 2020, he signed with Fortitudo Bologna, where he stayed for two seasons:
First season: 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds
Second season: 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds
He later had stints with Bilbao and Napoli, before returning to Pesaro in 2022, where he posted 7.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in the regular season, and 9.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in the playoffs.
In 2023/24, still with Pesaro, he finished the season averaging 13.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. In 2024/25, playing for Napoli, he improved again with 14.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, shooting an impressive 68.6% from two-point range.
