Grizzlies Release Injury Updates: Edey, Clarke, Pippen Out for Weeks
The Memphis Grizzlies have released updates on the conditions of Edey, Clarke, and Pippen. All three players will remain sidelined for several weeks. In particular, Edey, who went down on December 11, is recovering from a stress fracture in his left ankle and is not expected to return before the end of February (in 11 games this season, he is averaging 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in 25.8 minutes).
As for Brandon Clarke, who is recovering from a calf injury, and Scotty Pippen Jr., who has yet to make his season debut, both are expected to return to action within four to six weeks.
Injuries have been a major setback for Memphis this season, although the team currently holds a 17–22 record, which places them 10th in the Western Conference. At the same time, the franchise is facing a crucial stretch of weeks, with Ja Morant having officially been placed on the trade market in recent days and likely to change teams before long.
