Bad news has arrived from Turkey regarding Nicolò Melli. The captain of the Italian national team, who returned in the summer of 2024 to Fenerbahçe Beko after his abrupt departure from Milan, has suffered a foot fracture. He will therefore undergo surgery, which is expected to keep him sidelined for approximately 6–8 weeks. The report was first shared by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.
This season, Melli has been averaging 6.5 points per game in the EuroLeague, along with 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 23 minutes per game, shooting 43.2% from three-point range. In domestic league play, he is averaging 6.2 points and 5.4 rebounds.

Fenerbahçe won yesterday’s quarterfinal against Esenler Erokspor and will return to the court on Friday for the semifinal against Türk Telekom B.K.. In EuroLeague action, the Turkish side currently sits at the top of the standings with a 20–7 record.
In the frontcourt, alongside Melli, Chris Silva is also sidelined, and the club could return to the market given that both players are expected to miss several weeks.
