Anthony Davis Traded to the Washington Wizards in Blockbuster NBA Deal
There is more major movement on the NBA trade market, as 10-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis leaves the Dallas Mavericks after being traded to the Washington Wizards. According to ESPN, Davis heads to the nation’s capital alongside Dante Exum, Jaden Hardy, and D’Angelo Russell. In return, the Dallas Mavericks receive Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, along with two future first-round draft picks and three future second-round picks.
The first-round selections are the 2026 pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder and a protected 2030 pick from the Golden State Warriors.

THE WIZARDS’ MOVE
Washington has decided to give up a significant number of assets to secure a future Hall of Famer. Davis will join a talented young core that includes Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George, Tre Johnson, and Bilal Coulibaly, as well as Trae Young, whom the Wizards acquired about a month ago in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks.
This season, Davis is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, shooting 50.6% from the field.
