Official: Ed Croswell is a new player of Treviso Basket
Nutribullet Treviso is once again active on the market, completing its fifth signing of the season. The day after the loss to Milano, the Veneto-based club has signed Ed Croswell, a 26-year-old, 202 cm center arriving from GeVi Napoli. This move strengthens the frontcourt available to head coach Marcelo Nicola, who will take advantage of the long break ahead (almost a month, also considering Treviso’s scheduled bye week in the LBA) to recover injured players Pellegrino and, above all, JP Macura, as the team prepares for the final push to stay in the Italian Serie A. Croswell averaged 9.8 points per game with 4.8 rebounds in 21.5 minutes across 17 appearances with Napoli Basket.
CAREER
Born in Philadelphia on September 6, 1999, Croswell is experiencing his first season in the LBA, averaging 10 points and 5 rebounds per game with an impressive 68% shooting from the field in 22 minutes per outing.
Ed stood out as early as his high school years, when as a junior he was a consistent double-double threat, even recording a remarkable triple-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks. His performances earned him a call-up from La Salle (Pennsylvania): with the Explorers, in his second year, he contributed 10 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Croswell then continued his college career at Providence, where as a senior he broke out, averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds.
Those numbers and his physical explosiveness put him on the radar of Maurizio Gherardini, who selected him for Fenerbahce’s development team. In Turkey’s second division, Croswell was dominant, posting 18.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. He began the 2024/25 season with the Frankfurt Skyliners, before moving to Nevezis in the Lithuanian league, where he finished with averages of 16.6 points and 6.6 rebounds.
Last summer came the call from Napoli, who chose him as the first signing of the new season. The Philadelphia native also performed well in Serie A, reaching double figures in 8 of 17 games, with a season-high 20 points against Venezia.
Croswell will now bolster Treviso’s frontcourt, bringing athleticism and physicality on both ends of the floor.
