Nikola Jokic and Serbia opened their EuroBasket 2025 campaign with an easy win over Estonia. Sitting courtside in Riga, Latvia, to watch the game was none other than Josh Kroenke, owner of the Denver Nuggets.
In recent days, it was reported that Ben Tenzer, Vice President of Basketball Operations, and John Wallace, Vice President of Player Development, had been in Serbia to observe training sessions. But now, the franchise’s top figure has joined them: Kroenke, who has been at the helm of the Nuggets since 2010, is obviously a key decision-maker within the organization. Jokic doesn’t appear to have any plans to leave Denver — in fact, he’s expected to sign a multi-year extension in the summer of 2026.
