Great Britain Announce Final 12-Man Roster for EuroBasket 2025: Carl Wheatle Named Captain
Marc Steutel, head coach of Great Britain, has officially unveiled the 12-man roster that will represent the country at EuroBasket 2025. The team will face a tough opening group in Finland, taking on the hosts, as well as Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, and Montenegro.
Leading the squad will be Carl Wheatle, who has been named team captain. The forward from Umana Reyer Venezia will be playing in his second EuroBasket, as will Patrick Whelan. The more seasoned core includes Myles Hesson, Gabriel Olaseni, and Luke Nelson, each entering their third EuroBasket tournament. Notably absent is Quinn Ellis, but the team closed its preparations on a positive note with a 72–62 victory over Estonia.
