The 5 and 13 will not be dressed by any other player of the Argentine team

The Argentine Confederation of Basketball, through its Board of Directors, decided this Saturday - and by unanimity unanimously - the retirement of the shirts of Emanuel Ginóbili (5) and Andrés Nocioni (13) for all the tournaments that dispute the Men's Major Selection. The respective ceremonies will be announced in due course, however, the numbers are officially out of choice from the upcoming AmeriCup.

Emanuel Ginóbili made his debut at the 1998 World Cup in Greece and played a total of 104 official matches scoring 1588 points. He is the sixth player with more matches played in the history of the Team Argentina and, in 13 tournaments, was part of the 2004 Olympic Gold of Athens, Bronze of Beijing 2008, the titles in the Premundial 2001 and the 2011 Olympic and Runner-up at the 2002 Indianapolis World Cup.

Andrés Nocioni, meanwhile, played 121 official matches marking 1364 points. It is third among the players with more encounters disputed in Argentina jersey (15 official contests), behind Luis Scola and Leonardo Gutiérrez. Like Ginóbili participated in the Olympic Gold of Athens 2004, the Bronze of Beijing 2008, the titles in the Premundial 2001 and the Pre-Olympic 2011 and the subchampionship in World-wide the 2002, but also also celebrated in South American 2001.
