Andorra's season: two games from EuroLeague while risking relegation to LEB Gold

MoraBanc Andorra's 2021/22 season it's unbelievable. The Spanish team is last in the Liga Endesa with 9 wins and 21 losses, and with 4 games to play in the regular season risks relegation to LEB Gold, the second national series.

However, in the 7Days EuroCup Andorra beat Gran Canaria, gaining access to the semifinals. This means being, hypothetically, only two wins away from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Andorra will now have to face Frutti Extra Bursaspor, who beat Cedevita Olimpija in the final. On the other side of the scoreboard, Valencia and Virtus Bologna will face each other.

Article 5 of the EuroLeague rules determines that a team must be in the top division of the national league to participate in the competition. However, in 2019 the Olympiacos exception, dropped to the Greek second division but stayed in the EuroLeague, could open a possibility in case Andorra, after qualifying to the EuroLeague, relegates from Liga Endesa.
