Official: Rokas Jokubaitis is a new Bayern Munich player

The Lithuanian guard has signed a multi-year contract through 2028. He joins from Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he averaged 12.6 points per game in the EuroLeague last season. He had arrived in Israel in the summer of 2024, after three years with Barcelona. “Bayern is a great club that has grown very quickly in basketball. I’ve heard many positive things, especially from Oscar (da Silva), who is a close friend of mine and helped me make this decision. The coach and management also wanted to involve me right from the start. I want to take on major responsibilities at Bayern, and I believe in this project. Considering how well they performed last year, our goal in the EuroLeague is to make the playoffs, and we absolutely want to win domestic titles.”
Jokubaitis made his LKL debut with Zalgiris at the age of 17 and his EuroLeague debut at 18. He is set to play his 200th EuroLeague game this season (currently at 193 games, averaging 6.6 points per game with a 39.8% shooting percentage from three-point range).
