Jazz Sign Rookie John Tonje to Two-Way Contract

The Utah Jazz have officially signed John Tonje, their second-round pick, to a two-way contract. The 24-year-old's path to the NBA was anything but straightforward: after four years at Colorado State, a foot injury limited his time at Missouri, before a remarkable comeback season with the Wisconsin Badgers. There, thanks to a medical hardship waiver, Tonje shined with 19.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, shooting an impressive 39% from three and 91% from the free throw line. His standout performances earned him All-America Second Team and All-Big Ten First Team honors. Selected 53rd overall, Tonje becomes the third Jazz player on a two-way deal, joining Oscar Tshiebwe and Elijah Harkless, bringing the current roster to 19 players. His signing represents a promising long-term investment for a franchise focused on developing young talent.
