Former Laker Wenyen Gabriel lands in EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv
Surprisingly the Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced the signing of Wenyen Gabriel, who agreed to a 1+1 deal with the EuroLeague club. It will be the first experience in europa for the 27-year-old South Sudanese big man with a US passport. A product of Kentucky, after being undrafted he still landed in the NBA in 2019. In the US League he played 150 games with the Kings, Pelicans, Nets, Clippers, Lakers and in 2023/24 Grizzlies, averaging 4.4 points per game with 3.4 rebounds. He also recently played in the Puerto Rican league with the Vaqueros de Bayamón shirt.
