Efes, Poirier Undergoes Surgery: Expected to Miss 4 to 6 Months

The 2025 season isn’t off to a good start for Anadolu Efes. Vincent Poirier underwent surgery today after suffering a knee injury while playing with the French national team during preparations for EuroBasket 2025. Efes team doctor Uğur Diliçıkık officially announced the expected timeline for his return: between 4 and 6 months of recovery for the French center. In the 2024/25 season, Poirier averaged 9.5 points in 21 minutes per game, shooting 65.9% from the field, along with 5.0 rebounds (including 2.0 offensive boards) and 1.2 assists. His best performance came in Round 3, when he scored 22 points against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
