Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz signs Rafa Villar to a three-year deal.
The 20-year-old guard (1.93 meters) joins from ICG Força Lleida, where he averaged 5.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.2 steals over 34 games in the Spanish league last season.
Villar began his career with FC Barcelona and made his EuroLeague debut during the 2021–22 season. He primarily played for Barcelona’s B team before moving to Lleida midway through the 2022–23 season.
On the international stage, Villar played a key role in Spain’s gold medal wins at the 2022 U18 European Championship and the 2023 U19 World Cup. He also helped Lleida earn promotion to the Spanish top division in 2024.
