Un aneddoto di Kyle Hines su Georgios Dimitropoulos
Nella giornata di ieri è scomparso, a soli 50 anni, Georgios Dimitropoulos, l'agente greco che aveva fondato Octagon Europe molti anni fa. Dopo aver fatto l'allenatore di basket era passato al ruolo di procuratore costruendo una grande carriera. Un ricordo affettuoso, con un aneddoto sul loro primo incontro, l'ha postato su Twitter il centro dell'Olimpia Milano Kyle Hines.
"Ho incontrato Georgios per la prima volta a Bamberg. Avevamo vinto il campionato tedesco e fatto la consueta festa. Era al bar e si presentò a me come rappresentante greco di Octagon. Poi mi ha detto che mi avrebbe portato all'Olympiakos la prossima stagione. In quel momento ho pensato tra me e me, questo ragazzo ha bevuto troppo, devo bere anche quello che sta bevendo lui, perché non c'era possibilità che l'Olympiacos mi firmasse per la stagione seguente. Ma due mesi dopo giocavo all'Olympiakos. Questo era Georgios. Ha reso possibile l'impossibile. Durante i due anni successivi in Grecia, Georgios mi ha trattato come una famiglia. Davvero un uomo unico. Egli ci mancherà molto. RIP."
