Tautvydas Sabonis expected to become the new head coach of the London Lions

Tautvydas Sabonis, brother of NBA star Domantas and son of legendary Arvydas, is set to leave Zalgiris Kaunas, where he served as the lead assistant coach under Andrea Trinchieri. According to BasketNews.lt, the 33-year-old is expected to become the new head coach of the London Lions. Before working with Trinchieri, Sabonis held roles at the Lithuanian club under Martin Schiller, Jure Zdovc, and Kazys Maksvytis. The Lions reached the semifinals of the EuroCup — the second-tier ECA competition — in the 2023–24 season, but did not participate this year. They are set to return to the competition next season.
