Report: David McCormack’s arrival in Bologna has been delayed

“The arrival of David McCormack, the former Milano and Alba big man who was expected to provide support during Virtus Bologna's practice sessions, has been postponed — at least for now," reports Il Carlino. This delay can be interpreted in two possible ways, while waiting for an official statement: Virtus may already have its new (and final) foreign player lined up, which would likely rule out Kai Jones as an option at this point. Alternatively, with no real urgency, the early arrival of Alen Smailagic — who was originally expected to return after the European Championship — completes the roster, and head coach Dusko Ivanovic, who is always mindful of team balance, is satisfied with the current group.
