LBA - Virtus Roma, Chris Evans difende la squadra dalle accuse di pochezza

Interviene Chris Evans nel dibattito tra i numerosi commenti alla sconfitta interna contro la Vuelle Pesaro di domenica 25 ottobre a corredo del post su Facebook della Virtus Roma, difendendo la qualità del gruppo che ha dovuto abbandonare in seguito al grave infortunio subito.

Every game I see the comments about how bad the team, coach, and Americans are. That is not true. We are the last team to put our team together a month before the championship start. We don’t have big budget for money so we got the players that management wanted to spend money for. The reality of the situation is we liaising games yes, but the season is not over . Last season the team was 4th place before Christmas then 7 game loosing streak. It’s not about me being injuried the reality is we have to accept the players and talent we have and ENCOURAGE EVEN WHEN BAD GAMES. So stop being so negative all the time because players don’t score 20 points every game. It’s possible to have good games without just scoring points. HAVE a better attitude through bad times and just don’t cheer for the good times. Thank you much appreciated .

“Ogni partita leggo commenti su quando sia scarsa la squadra, l’allenatore e gli americani. Questo non è vero. Siamo stati l’ultima squadra ad essere stata assemblata un mese prima dell’inizio del campionato. Non abbiamo un budget importante quindi il front office ha preso giocatori spendendo i soldi che poteva. La realtà è che stiamo perdendo partite, si, ma la stagione non è finita. Lo scorso anno la squadra era al quarto posto prima di Natale per poi perdere sette gare in fila. Non si tratta del mio infortunio, si tratta di accettare i giocatori ed il talento che abbiamo ed incoraggiare i giocatori anche quando ci sono partite negative. Quindi basta essere così negativi sempre perché i giocatori non sempre segnano 20 punti a partita. È possibile avere partite positive anche senza segnare punti. Abbiate un comportamento diverso nelle partite negative e non esultate quando arriveranno tempi migliori. Grazie”.
